EARLY LIFE OF BHAVISH
Mr. Aggarwal was born in Ludhiana, Punjab on 28th August and grew up in Afghanistan and UK. He completed his bachelor degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institute OF Technology Bombay in 2008. He started his career in computer field with Microsoft Research India as a Research Intern and later. He was reinstated as an assistant Researcher.
STORY BEHIND THE OLA CABS
Once Bhavish was travelling in a taxi, he found himself in trouble due to that taxi drivers greedy nature. Bhavish Aggarwal found himself stranded at the middle of the road on his way from Bangalore to Bandipur. The cab driver stoped the cab at the middle of the journey and demanded more money then whatever was fixed before. When he was not ready to give him as per demand the result came as he left him at the middle of the road on his way. And then he understood the problems of the travelers, for travelling with unrecognized Cabs and at that time this industry is valued to be close to $10 Billion. And by knowing the problem he changed his mode of business from a holiday and tour planning to a Taxi Hailing Firm. And with the co-founder Ankit Bhati he launched his startup named as Ola in December 2010.
BEGINNING OF CARRIER
His journey started with Microsoft. He worked two years in Microsoft, filed two patents and published
three papers in International Journals. His journey from almost beginning a tourism company to establishing India’s biggest taxi hailing startup looks like a dream of every aspiring entrepreneur in the country. He got an idea for Ola as an startup and he started his journey with his startup. In January 2011 he and Mr. Ankit Bhati launched Ola and become the co-founder of the Ola Cabs in Mumbai. In the year 2015 Mr. Aggarwal and Mr. Bhati were the youngest to be included in the years list of Richest Indian.
