Today we are going to talk about one of the founder of Zomato, Deepinder Goyal who started Zomato with his friend Pankaj Chaddah. Deepinder Goyal is the founder and CEO of Zomato.

BIOGRAPHY 

Deepinder Goyal (age 35~) belongs from a small town named Muktsar, near Bathinda in Punjab. His father was a Botany teacher and mother taught English.
Educational Life
A shy person, he was not academically brilliant as his own elder brother was. A turnaround happened in his life when Deepinder topped standard 8 exam with the help of a teacher who helped him with answer of the test's question. From then on, he started taking his studies seriously. He attended DAV college in Chandigarh for higher secondary education. And later on he was able to pass the IIT-JEE entrance in his first attempt. He graduated with an integrated masters in Mathematics and Computing from IIT Delhi in 2005. He could do this because of his thinking that the exams were less about knowledge and more about the mindset of a person, which was a core area of strength for him.
Married Life 
He got married with Kanchan Joshi. They 1st meet at IIT Delhi where they felt in love and she did her PhD from IIT itself and later on they got married. He has a daughter named Siara.

STARTUP STORY STARTS FROM HERE:+
During his job, everyone were looking for takeaway menus to order food during their lunch time. He found a gap between and he tried to fill the gap by starting foodiebay.com, leaving his boring job that he Stared in 2006.
He started his food tech company in July 2008 with Pankaj Chaddah, his colleague from consulting firm Bain&company. And later on the name of foodiebay was changed as Zomato because of the legal issue happened between foodiebay and eBay. Then, Deepinder renamed as Zomato. 

ACHIEVEMENTS HE GOT
#The idea of online restaurant information services (foodiebay) came from seeing the demand for paper menu cards among
his colleagues at Bain. 
#Today his restaurant guide and food delivery firm, worth 1.1 billion USD, is making its presence felt across 10,000 cities in 24 countries. 
#In 2017,he reportedly drew an annual salary of around Rs 48lakh. 
#Assuming Zomato owners still hold around 5-7% stake, his net worth can be estimated to be 55-77 million USD i.e 350-500 crore. 
#Many other services are added like Online Food Ordering, Table Reservation, Zomato Base, Zomato Gold.....
